A disease involving the destruction of red blood cells
by the dog's own immune system is one of the most common blood disorders
affecting dogs today. So far the major cause for autoimmune hemolytic
anemia (AIHA) is annual immunization but is only one potential cause for
this condition.
After
losing our beloved mascot "Bo" to this disease ourselves, we
decided to research the subject further. We feel that it is an
important topic that does warrant consideration, however we here at So.
