Cynthia

My journey with SCKR began in early 2004 when I adopted a six year old female Keeshonden who lost her forever home due to her mom’s passing.  Rather than “buy” the pup from her caretaker, I was asked to make a donation to a group called SCKR.

I’ve been a volunteer with the group since 2006.  I started knee-deep in the rescue process: immediately helped with an owner surrender, did home inspections, performed reference checks, picked up/transported rescues — whatever was needed.  I still do those things as needed and for some years now, I also monitor the group’s voicemail box.

This group has my heart — not only because of the love I have for the breed, but because of the team’s mission, and all of us who support it.
